When I went to install the wiper arm on the car I noticed the connector that goes onto the J-hook was busted. I used WD-40 to no avail and finally resorted to ever so slightly spreading each of the metal brackets and then carefully tightened each one with my pliers. The rubber insert simply fought each metal bracket and did not want to go in. Wondering if there is a difference for the driver wiper arm for non-US models? The set I bought was manufactured in Romania.I bought the wiper refills. Not sure why a 25" was included for the driver side. Odd to see the set for the E38 contain a 25" and 24" blade. Wondering if there is a difference for the driver wiper arm for non-US models? The set I bought was manufactured in Romania. There is a 24" wiper refill available - it is ~ $16 at the local dealer (part # 61618217711) but at $16 per side that is still more than what I saw the Denso blades for sale at ($7.07 and $9.64 for left and right side respectively). Online pricing at my local dealer for Genuine BMW driver's side wiper is ~ $45. Last time I had to order the driver's side separately. The right side wiper in that set fits, the left side wiper doesn't fit (it is 25" !?). From my notes, the passenger side has been superseded by wiper set 61610134601 which is not fully exchangeable with the E38 (despite the labeling on the package). I bought Genuine BMW wipers last time around (2018). The BMW part # for the driver's side is: 61618361475 and passenger side is: 61618203954 (NLA). Wondering about right side fitment? I am aware of the passenger side having fitment issues with non-BMW 24" blades due to contact with the hood. You can look at this link to see what some of the systems look like.Anyone have experience with wiper blades from Denso? Their conventional model left side is: 1601422 and right side is: 1601424. If you have any question about what your are looking at, just get some help from a mechanic you trust.Īlways good to get a second pair of eyes on something, then to have to buy or try to find an item(s) that can be hard to find at times. look for any damaged parts, things that just do not look right or bent in away that does not look quite right. This can be a confusing assembly for one not accustom to mechanical items.Īlso. If the wipers are stopping at about the same location relative to where they stopped before the problem, then you need to check the connection at the motor and drive actuator arm link(s) and connection links. Should the arms now stop at different positions, then check the point where they connect to the post or spline, that each arm is connected. Two points are at the bell crank assemblies where the wiper arms attach to the front of the coach and the other is as the point where both actuator arms connect to the wiper motor bell crank. There are 3 possible locations where splines or friction connections are generally used. Yes this is a new issue with the wipers where would the splines be located? It was nice to find and replace the rear wipers since none of my local stores carry them. Nice, beefy wipers!! All of the regular wipers fit perfectly too and snapped right on. For the Fleetwood, all the needed hardware was included (and there's even extra hardware included apparently for other types of arms). They must have shipped Saturday morning right after I ordered since I received them Monday - great experience. Received my wipers Monday and installed them last night.

Long story short, ordered wipers for the RV as well as both of our vehicles front and rear yesterday with free shipping. They also listed 5 options in 28" and 26" depending on grade or type of wiper you want. I noticed they have up to 32" "heavy duty RV wiper blades" although mine takes the "wide saddle" 26" with an adapter kit. Looks like they have every RV listed with the correct trico wiper blade numbers (trico were the original wiper blades on the RV). Wow - thanks for all of the responses! I researched several of the above yesterday which led me to wipers123 because they were cheaper than amazon.
